Téa's first few days at home

We were allowed to leave hospital on the Thursday afternoon after 3 days. It was great to be back at home and only contend with the sound of one baby crying rather than the others in my room. Friday was an awesome day of sleeping in and spending some quantity time as a family. Téa discovered that the best way to fall asleep was on dad's chest!

Saturday was the first trip out - actually back to the hopital for a check up and to remove the stitches. It all went well with the nurse giving some great tips for breastfeeding. It all sounds sooo simple in the prenatal classes. Téa looked so cute in her little hooded jumpsuit!

Sunday was the big day to venture out. I decided I really needed to get out of the apartment. So a late lunch was on the cards. After getting organised - not such a quick event anymore - we headed out with the stroller to explore Soho, Central & Lan Kwai Fong and discover the easiest way to get from A to B with minimal stairs - a bit of a mean feat here in HK. Téa seemed to love the rymthm of the stroller even with the rough footpaths. We ended up at an Irish Pub in Lan Kwai Fong and at the age of 5 days old Téa managed to go to the pub (& break the law) in the entertainment district of HK. There was noone there so we had a lovely lunch and even though asleep Téa managed to swoon the staff.

Today (Monday) we headed to the Pediatrician and then out for a coffee morning with a bunch of either expectant mothers in March. I was quite suprised at how much I enjoyed it all. Though I was glad to be home in the afternoon for a bit of quiet time. Téa slept though the whole experience! WHy didn't she do that last night :-)

Paul has been wonderful. Looking after his two girls. Téa will become a a little daddies girl - he's already the one who has the knack for getting her to sleep. Something I hope to learn.
